The school year is coming to an end, so it's time to say good-bye to my little firsties! Before I do, I want them to create a memory book for them to take home and cherish forever (or at least until July). There are soooo many creative memory books out there, but just in case you're still looking for one, you can download mine for FREE on my TPT page. Click here for the webpage.
Only ten school days left and... it's SUMMER! Then, it's time to start thinking of Back-to-School ideas!
I uploaded my latest making words activity on TPT. This one is using the word "shamrocks." We've been learning about using the suffix -s in words so I made sure I added the s to the word shamrock. Plus, it helps them come up with more words! You can click on the picture to get it at my TPT store for only $1.00.
I'll be having a Leap Year Sale on all of my TPT products. Every item in my store will be 20% off on February 29th only. Don't forget to use this promo code from TPT to save even more- L2P9Y. Click on the link below to get to my store.
Today was my favorite kind of school day. It was a Teacher Work Day, which meant no kiddies today! I was able to finish up my report cards, change desks around, fix up my reading group plans from the last six weeks, file papers from my "file pile," and plan some things for this week and next week.
Tomorrow when the kids come back, we're going to be learning about George Washington. Here is an art project I usually have them do. I'll have them write a short paragraph about George that I'll attach to the bottom. I've been doing this same George project for about the last ten years. I believe it was from a Mailbox arts & crafts resource book that I used to own. It is one of my all-time favorite crafts. I love the addition of the cotton balls and the doily.
